Joey Dee and The Starliters

The name of the dance is the Peppermint Twist! To see recent photos of the legendary Joey Dee and The Starliters performing this and several other hits, go to my Classic Pop Music Concert Pix pages and click on the link for Wind Beneath My Wings 2006.

Hi Laura,
I saw you note to the post your oldies group about your blog and thought I'd come to check it out. When I saw your Joey Dee & The Starliters post, I had to say hi, as I played them on my show last night. I am the host and producer of Treasure Island Oldies, since 1997 on the Internet, it is one of the longest running online radio shows in the world.

Yesterday we launched a brand new website with a great new look and I invite you and your blog readers and posters to come visit The Island. The show is live every Sunday from 6 to 10 p.m. Pacific and is also archived for convenient listening at any time.

I am pleased to have received some tremendous reviews for the show including from Robert Fontenot in Los Angeles at saying Treasure Island Oldies is 'quite possibly the finest oldies netcast show...'.

I am sure you will hear some songs you have not heard in a long time, as Treasure Island Oldies is the Home of Lost Treasures.

All the best to you.
